Tap Tap Dig Save File Transfer

We recently partnered with Iron Horse Games for Tap Tap Dig. The game has moved to the Iron Horse Games account on Google Play.

If you’re an existing Tap Tap Dig player, there are two options for transferring your save file: use ES File Explorer or use a computer.

If you made any in-app purchases in the old game, please email us at [email protected] and provide your Google Play Order IDs (these are emailed to you when you purchase anything from a Google Play game, an example is GPA.0000-0000-0000-00000) and we will provide you promo codes for those items in the new game.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this transition!

Copy Tap Tap Dig Save File Using ES File Explorer

    1. Download ES File Explorer from Google Play (it’s free)
    2. Start/open ES File Explorer
    3. Tap the “three horizontal lines” icon in the top left to open the menu
    4. Tap “Local” to expand it and reveal more items
    5. Tap “Home” (Note: there may be 2 “Home” entries in the list – you want the one that takes you to a list of folders, not the one that takes you to the main screen of ES File Explorer)
    6. Tap the “Android” folder
    7. Tap the “data” folder
    8. Tap the “com.baconbanditgames.taptapdig” folder
    9. Tap the “files” folder
    10. Tap and hold on “taptapdig_save.ttd” until it shows a green checkmark on the icon, then tap “Copy” at the bottom left of the screen to copy the file to the clipboard
    11. Go back up a few folders until you see the “com.baconbanditgames.taptapdig” folder
    12. IMPORTANT: if you already have a folder named “org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig”, it means that you have already installed and played the new Tap Tap Dig. You must uninstall the new Tap Tap Dig before proceeding – be careful and make sure that you uninstall the new Tap Tap Dig, and not the old one (as the old one contains your save file that we want to copy to the new game!). Once the new game is uninstalled, you should not see a folder named “org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig”, and you can proceed with the rest of the steps below.
    13. In this directory (/Android/data/), tap the “New” button in the bottom-left of the screen, then tap “Folder”, and name it “org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig” (without the quotes) and then tap the OK button
    14. Go into the new directory you just created, “org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig” by tapping on it
    15. In this directory (/Android/data/org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig/), tap the “New” button in the bottom-left of the screen, then tap “Folder”, and name it “files” (without the quotes)
    16. Go into the new directory you just created, “files” by tapping on it
    17. Tap the “Paste” button in the bottom-left of the screen which will make a copy of the taptapdig_save.ttd file in the current folder
    18. Download Tap Tap Dig from Iron Horse Games on Google Play
    19. Start/open the new Tap Tap Dig that you just downloaded and installed, and all of your data should be there!
